I had a fear during Beta that it might end up something like this: a game with wacky skins and cosmetics which couldn't be turned off. After persevering with all the crashes so far, and finding out that I lost all horizontal mouse movement after the latest patch (a known issue which requires players to reset all their keybindings, apparently), I think I'm also beginning to lose hope that things will turn themselves around even in the medium/long term.
I really do hope there's a killswitch to disable seeing these skins in game. Sure, there's enough 'Battlefield moments' going on around in a game that it could be considered unrealistic, but this Santa skin is just silly, and totally against what I've been expecting this game to be about.
If this Santa stuff, or cosmetics like it had been on the promotional posters, I would have readily withheld my purchase.
