It runs fine for me on my next generation hardware.
The PS4/XBOX ONE version(s) of the game is literally an inferior version and not the "full" experience of Battlefield 2042.
1. You have limited crossplay whereas next generation has full crossplay. You don't even have the option to play with PC gamers if you wanted to because the PS4 and XBOX ONE simply aren't powerful enough.
2. You lose out on 128 player matches and are throttled at 64 players. Even when you buy the game we literally have a different version than you do that costs more due to the content and capabilities of the game,
3. Your maps have to be shrunken down.
And its just not nearly as fast and powerful as the next generation experience among other things. Here's an article about the last generation limitations:

Yes, you have people complaining about the game. In fact, a ton of people are complaining about the game. It almost seems like these forums were made for complainers. Those of us who are playing the FULL game on our next generation systems with next to no issues aren't going to be here bashing the game simply because we are too busy enjoying the game. Its common sense when you think about it.
So the discontent you see on forums dedicated to complaints are not emblematic of everyone's true experience with the game. I play Battlefield 2042 literally everyday, the full Battlefield 2042 game @ 128 players, with not even half as many issues as I hear complained about on this board.
