I legitimately don't get it. You guys needed 8 months to put down some objects in the level editor? Given that only 1 new map is coming in season 1 does that mean we will only have 4 new maps by the end of the year? Why is basic stuff like an animation system that should have been there from launch in the "roadmap" as if it's something we should be excited for? This is honestly getting kind of embarrassing. Its like a indie developers early access title at this point lol
There is no way you guys are being truthful about the majority of the team still working on the game. We already know you lied through your teeth throughout the entirety of BFVs lifecycle in regards to things like Firestorm getting updates to the inventory system, Combined Arms being a "dynamic experience", "Operation Sunrise", etc. You've also lied about the state of this game before launch by saying it was in a much better state than the beta, which it obviously wasn't.
I swear whoever has been leading DICE is a plant from Activision tasked with killing the Battlefield franchise. You had 20 years worth of feedback + all the feedback from BFV and you still managed to scuff it. Ain't no way bruh lmao 😃

Yes, all we got is lies. It is VERY obvious that basically only a skeleton crew is working on BF2042 and it seems they are trying to stretch content as thin as they get ways with.
If they really have the audacity to just bring one map per season (and it is pretty clear that there will only be 4 seasons for this
'game'), then we have by the end of S4 the number of maps older titles launched with (BF4 had 10 at release IIRC and by now would have gotten 2 DLCs with 4 maps each).
Why people defend Dice and STILL can't see though their PR stunts they are trying to pull is beyond me. In the past they made AT LEAST 4 maps from scratch in the same period of time they now spend on REWORKING one existing map. A rework, aka using the editor to place existing assets and reshaping the ground mesh. OK; and some retexturing maybe, but this is mostly automated.
I did not work with Frostbyte before, but I did level editing (I would not go so far as to call it level 'design') and what they show now is less than the job for ONE person, given that this person has by now months to do the work.
The likelihood that Dice is really committed on fixing the mess they released and are working with more than a handful of inexperienced level 'designers' on creating new maps is ZERO!
If your coping mechanism is to pretend to believe what they say, fine, but please, don't be naive.
