Do I need to buy BF2042 for PC and XBOX Series X

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I have a preorder copy of the standard edition through the RTX Nvidia promotion.  Will I need to buy another copy of the game for my Xbox Series X?

If so should I wait until the game release date or should I preorder that as well?

    You will need to buy the game again on different Platform. Battlefield 2042 will includes Cross-Progression and CrossPurchase so your ingame Stats and Purchases (Battle Pass, skins...) will carry over to your other Platform. 🙂

    Keep in mind to link your EA Account on those Platforms as all will be automatically saved to your EA Account.

    @AlexJW8Yes, for completely different platforms you will need to purchase another copy.

    When you should purchase it is up to you however.  If you link both platform game accounts to your EA account, you will have cross-progression enabled as well.

    If any of the pre-order bonuses appeal to you, then get the one you like and cross-progression will let you share the bonuses / perks across both platforms.

    @AlexJW8 2042 includes crossplay so you can play with all of your friends regardless of their platform. That being said just as @windowsmantv stated if you want to sit on your couch and play on your Xbox you'll need to purchase a second copy of the game but your progress from PC will carry over.

    @AlexJW8 Its EA there is no such thing as consumer friendly. unfortunately, just thing what makes them the most money and you have your answer.
