I've been thinking alot recently about how i miss the days of the premium paid dlc that older games had. The post launch support for 2042 has been good to see, but the amount of content is just not enough. I don't know how everyone else feels but i'd happily welcome back the premium pass for the next game if it meant getting more dlc maps and content again.

@ElliotLHMe too I would welcome the return of the Premium Pass.I always felt I got value for money as 4 maps every 3 months meant the game stayed fresher for longer.

@Eeken02 I would gladly pay whatever Premium model would cost today. 60-70 euros for a premium pass is nothing if that guarantees me a steady flow of content for the next year or so.Make it free for EA Play Pro subscribers.During Premium days I never felt like content was "dead" because of a paywall. There were constantly DLC only servers and just sheer amount of maps made me interested because I never had to play a single map five million times in a row.Weapons and gadgets alone were worth the DLC price.And in today's world where everyone is spending hundreds euros/dollars a month on subscriptions like Netflix, Disney+, EA Play etc etc, paying 20 for a single DLC every couple of months is a loose change.

I'd gladly go back to Premium or a traditional DLC model.

@Eeken02 Absolutely! Premium DLCs were definitely more bang for the buck by a WIDE margin.

@Eeken02 Nope. The quantity of content that came with Premium Pass DLCs was always excellent, it's the locking of content and gamemodes behind a paywall that was terrible. Splitting up the playerbase like that is the dumbest thing that can be done for a games' survivability.

Sadly not everyone buys PP DLCs even though they were affordable, which is why more people always gravitated towards the free launch content, which resulted in previous games eventually dying because the good DLC content doesn't get populated enough and people just end up tiring of the launch content.

Haters can deny it all they want, but it's true. The facts are literally there.

@RayD_O1 I felt like it was value for money too and also that there was guaranteed content. The idea of Live Service is good as it means everyone has access to the same content and the community isn't split up, but also the studios rely on microtransactions to make money, for obvious reasons, and I feel more focus goes towards that.

Would I pay for additional content? Absolutely
Would I be worried about matchmaking implications? Yeah
Would it be profitable for EA/DICE? Doubtful, especially now.
