EA Abandoning BF 2042
[ Spoiler ]
These are the Best news in gaming community this year. At last as it seems EA Completely Disowns Battlefield 2042 During Their Investor Call..this company that tottally ruined Battlefie...
I think for once, it would be time for EA and Dice to admit to the mistakes with 2042 and apologize for it. To clearly state what we still get and that the next title will return the the BF roots. It could be a simple statement and would get at least a lot of respect from the gamers for them doing so.
But of course in the real world, things look differently. The Team is still in denial. They posting a new Heli skin all proudly. I mean its borderline delusional. Of course its just a game. Its not the end. But for one, I will never purchase anther EA title again unless trusted review sites give it a go. Damage is done. The seasons are adding more insult to injury, IMO. The content is less than a keto diet.

That would/should have been in the Feb "Road Ahead" communication.
It wasn't. DICE is incapable of humility as a studio, as are apparently a great many of its developers, at least in management/leadership roles.
They don't make mistakes, the community just mistakenly doesn't like the amazingly perfect thing that DICE made. There will be no formal apology for lying to the community and selling us a half finished, poorly designed game. Ever.
DICE doesn't owe us that, and they don't care enough about the community to extend the bare-minimum courtesy.
It doesn't really matter. There are so many people responsible for this mess. The content directors and producers are just employees, they can leave DICE and go to another studio. So it doesn't matter if EA drops BF or if EA drops DICE. If they do, they would sell the IP to someone else. However, the same employees that were part of this mess can just switch companies.
Battlefield will end up going the way of Medal of Honor.
