@CantGetRightAgreed. Specialist is what it is. I like the freedom of it. I have forgotten about the Class System, it’s old. As far as weapons, well let’s be honest most people find a gun that they like and just stick to that one. Example I never use the AK or M5 strictly SFAR for me. On BC2 I stuck with the M16 3 shot burst with grenade launcher. There is really no need for 50 weapons.

@Psubond they could address this point by keeping the current AOW and leaving it as is and creating a second non-specialist class based AOW with weapon and gadget restrictions in order to please those who like the current Specialist formula and the larger core player base who dislikes the Specialists overall.

@solidsouthcentra'No need for 50 weapons' really?!? when has less options ever been a good thing? This is a very backwards way of thinking in all aspects not just in games. Having a huge variety of guns is huge especially in a BF game but I guess when you are targeting the Fortnite/COD skin chaser type gamers this is what it looks like..

@VRACinqueActually I like the new specialist system and will take it over the outdated classes system any day. The latter just feels so restrictive when going back to it.I actually found the Specialist system to be incredibly restrictive. I've been playing Battlefield a long time and one of my favorite ways to play is the engineer class with rockets and a repair tool. You can't even do that in 2042 because of the Specialist system. I enjoyed the class system because I always found a gun in each class that I really enjoyed using, and I loved the variety of gameplay that came with that. If all I wanted to do was use the same gun over and over I'd go play Call of Duty or something.

No one forces you to use the same gun over and over. All my 8 loadouts use different primary weapons and gadgets. Secondaries and throwables are less variable though.
