Alright i think we had enough topics about this matter. It's been well understood that people are not happy with the new Specialist system and want more proper soldier restriction Class type. Like people are happy about the new current system and want to keep it.We could continue debate forever, the only thing that really matter is what EA plan to do so, here it is : EA what are the plans about Specialist ? PS : EA communication been more than blurry about what changement they are to do on the gameplay, so this isn't a topic to debate. This is a topic so we can push to finally have an answer.

I myself would love to see the whole cartoony specialist and their ridiculous "abilities" idea scrapped and proper classes reintroduced. think the player count and general state of the game show a majority of the players have rejected this new concept.I know poor map design, missing "legacy" features like server browser and scorecard and buggy gameplay has also affected this but by talking to people and reading here and other places it really seems specialists are uniformally hated by all but a few.

I want them gone forever. Thanos snapped, obliterated, erased from the franchise.

People have many criticisms of the Specialists but one of the recurring themes is they don't like being a named stateless soldier with a personality and back story - many BF players prefer to play as the traditional nameless soldier on the team as a member of a nation state's army. Add in that the personalities of the Specialists are absolutely atrocious and unfitting of the theme and narrative that 2042 was sold on being far more suitable for Apex Legends and peoples' objections become even stronger. That being said the feedback that I personally left during the tech test, beta, and launch stated that faction specific cosmetics were necessary or we'd have big issues identifying friend from foe. @CantGetRightAgreed. Specialist is what it is. I like the freedom of it. I have forgotten about the Class System, it’s old. As far as weapons, well let’s be honest most people find a gun that they like and just stick to that one. Example I never use the AK or M5 strictly SFAR for me. On BC2 I stuck with the M16 3 shot burst with grenade launcher. There is really no need for 50 weapons.

That would make sense too as in time of strife and shortage like in the 2042 world people would inevitably use older weapons - especially non-nation state entities like no-pats.

Sadly I agree, no matter how wrong-headed the decision was or what it has done to the BF series they do seem hell bent on keeping them.

Well between the 4 new specialists coming (yaye 10 wasn't enough) and the announcement of the core game rework + specialist bashing vs like it, we don't really know where we are going and even less where EA stand.
Hence the topic, EA mind enlightening us ?

We should ask if they can atleast disable those super-cringe end of round dialogues which are completely out of the narrative.

Also they should somehow mask enemyspecialists so you don’t get the impression that you killed your twinbrother.
It is so effin weird when you stab your Charakter that you are playing and it is more weird when they suddenly speaks Russian.

Why is the enemy Irish suddenly Russian when he plays the exact same specialist as me ? Also with a complete different voice to further ridicule the narrative.

I can tell you I used every single primary and secondary weapon in BF3. I had at least 500 kills with every single one of them.

@Ironhead841 kinda hard to say that the specialist concept was rejected by a majority of players when there are a lot of other glaring problems like missing core features such as a server browser, only having 7 maps, map design, etc. you can't exclusively blame people leaving the game on specialists. i like the flexibility the system gives us and i don't want a restrictive class system back that shoehorns me into using specific weapons or combinations of gadgets

I acknowledged that the missing core features are definitely a part of the players leaving, I myself would like to see persistent servers and rental servers again as well as a server browser even before a scoreboard.
It has just been my personal observations that a lot and I do mean A LOT of complaints seem to be the specialists (and their wacky abilities and cringe looks and voice-lines) and no class system.
Personally I think the class system is crucial to what makes Battlefield.. well Battlefield.
Justt one players opinion but there it is.

@Ironhead841 i respectfully disagree on classes being crucial what make battlefield battlefiled. there are a lot of other aspects that for me make battlefield a battlefield game, namely combined arms, large maps and objective based play. forcing someone to run an AR if they want to carry a med bag or a SMG if they want to run a rocket launcher doesn't make something a battlefield game to me

I believe that a server browser is def needed to keep and maintain alot of your playerbase. Rental servers can also be a good thing to built communities so that people hopefully stay interested.
The Specialist?...well it give me a COD feeling..not that COD is bad, but lets keep this Batllefield with the class system that worked in the past ( maybe i'm too nostalgic).
And for the love of most of us, just put a scoreboard in it.
Ow...and before i forget to ask....Please...pretty please...fix this game first.
