For those trowing around that BF2042 is " Poorly opptimized " Look at this Video

https://youtu.be/6fIf-C8UjWY?t=633

10:33 Steeve explain that High end machines cannot get the best out of BF2042 because DICE decided to still support older hardware .. and explain brillantly that the game is somewhat optimized a lot but here is the catch .. Would it be possible for DICE to create two version of the game one for olders CPU specs on PC and one client on PC for higher end system so this way with 2 distinc clients the higher end version would run better on high end system and performances wont be left behind because of lower end machines ..

If we can play crossplay with  consoles hardware and different clients then we must be able to play " cross gen " on PC with 1 client for High end PCs and 1 client for lower end ones ...

Dont know if thats possible but it could be an option ?

@Netranger9 Well.. it´s running 100% stable @5Ghz with cl 15 overclocked sticks for ram. So it´s faster than probably 90-95% of all computers out there (everything apart from the very latest). I can max out every single game in existence.. but not 2042. I can play CoD Warzone etc with everything on max/ultra and i´m pressing my monitors max.. not the computer or gpu. The availability of electronics (and time) has kept me from switching to a never cpu, and frankly until BF2042 it hasn´t even been necessary.

@SgtHL I have an 8700K that runs stable at 5ghz, yet my 12700K outperforms it by at least 30% at 4.8ghz in BF2042. Both CPU's have more than adequate threads to run the game, so it must be a difference in process scheduling and IPC.

I generally time my hardware upgrades in line with a new Battlefield as the games always have been hardware-intensive, especially on CPUs.

I had struggles with i9 7960x @4.4ghz and 3090 strix. By all logics if you get new game and have high end pc, you expect it to run good, that's how it has been in decades.
