By answer, he means it's not going to happen, unless you live in a country with good consumer protection laws and want to go through the hoops for it.

can you link any honest answer ?
- ElliotLH3 years agoHero+@Kugel_FIN The link below is for the EA refund policy, in case it'd be applicable to you:

If you bought the game outside of Origin, like on Steam or Xbox, then the merchant's policy would apply. - BR-DuaneDibbley3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Kugel_FIN Yes, the game is a scam (not the game, but the dishonest marketing). There is a petition to allow refunds on all platforms at change.org for it. I just posted a new thread to discuss if this is the way to go and make people aware.
Guess what, it was deleted after less than 5 minutes (the thread, not the petition which is still up and now has over 8000 people who signed it). 😉
I don't think that it will help, even if 100.000 players sign. But MAYBE we get the official answer by EA why they refuse to refund the game. - BR-DuaneDibbley3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@ElliotLHThe information covered by the page you link to does not apply here. It is made for the cases if you don't like the game or have some technical issues at the start.
What we are dealing here is false advertising, broken promises and missing content (like selling a battle pass for the first year and not delivering on that for what will now be at least 8 months - IF first content will be available by early July). There is NO section on that page how to proceed with a refund request in case one has been scammed. If this page exists, please post a link to that one.

- Flavin9133 years agoSeasoned Ace@DuaneDibbley Interesting to see where change.org goes....
- BR-DuaneDibbley3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Flavin913 My money is on either of the following 2 options:
1) the petition will reach/surpass the given goal and will be ignored by EA or
2) the petition will reach/surpass the given goal and we will get a blog post by EA/Dice which contains the following sentences: "We hear you loud and clear and understand you are not happy with the state of the game. While listening to your feedback, we are dedicated to making BF2042 into some really great experience. One that you, our player base rightly demands..."
