I am not sure why but it seems harder for me to progress healing assignments on BF2042.
First of all the medic crates seems to somehow repel people and they often even go around it and decide to stay injured.
They players also seem to be dodging the syrette pistol that is trying to heal them. The only time that I seem to succeed often enough to heal them is if I aim at the grownd in front of the direction they are going instead of at their center mass.
@UP_HawxxeyeI agree, sometimes it seems impossible to heal someone. 2 tips that might help: 1) throw a medic crate in a doorway, this forces people to run thru it. 2) Playing conquest on Manifest (B2), Orbital (D2) and Hourglass (A2 and A3) use the fire suppressant to your advantage, as everyone in the area is taking damage, throw down a med crate for yourself and then just keep shooting them with the syrette.
Just spam syrette shots at groups of people. You'll get hits eventually.
Noticed the similar myself but assumed I was unintentionally missing the hot zones. Weirdly the recent melee tasks were quicker to complete lol. I'd still take a slow burning PTFO task any day though.
P.S. I didn't have much success but it looks pretty easy if you can land the crate on to Casper's drone and fly around.
I just attach the health crate to casper's drone and chase people around with it. Easier on Breakthrough defence.
Also good for ammo assignments cause people need ammo more than they need health.
EDIT: Could be wrong but I think Angel armour shards count.
@UP_HawxxeyeFind a group that is moving togther as a squad and stay behind them. You will stay alive and be able to revive and heal them on the run. C1 on Renewal is one of the best places, good amount of cover and you can bounce back and forth. But beware the flying squirrels, they pop in and start yelling reggae at you.

It can be pretty finnicky. Make sure the drone is on flat ground and as low as it can go. Stand over it and look straight down so the drone is between your legs and place the crate. Most reliable way to do it I've found.
I didn't find it difficult at all.
Just run with your squad and shoot people with the syrette pistol. It takes about 10 rounds if you only get 300 health replenished per match. I found hipfiring the syrette works better to get the dart to lock on. YMMV.

I usually prefer an ammo crate as secondary gadget to refill the Syringe Pistol, and most important, let other people revive, so you can heal the other 50hp.
But I have to admit, you may need a lobby that actually is interested in playing the objective. Snipers at max distance from the objectives rarely need heals.
Syringe pistol refills automatically. It's a specialist gadget.
