Well a beta game is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what you truly are getting even after you sample it at the store!
- @trip1ex I did preorder it, but I canceled it. I may put 5 bucks down, just to reserve it, but I am going to wait for the beta before I make a final purchase decision.

I had the money saved for it so I got a $110 Xbox Gift Card and used it to preorder the Ultimate Edition after reading about the AI Soldiers and the Portal modes and how we will be able to create our own Bot Matches with up to 127 AI Soldiers with it.
However with how quiet they have been lately I am beginning to regret it unless they give us a huge positive update about how everything is going before the end of the week.
- @Jesse165 I've been on this rock for a good while. In my experience, it's usually not a good thing when a company is quiet about a product, when people have serious and valid concerns. That's why I decided to wait.

I have bought nearly every one of them since Modern warfare 2 on Xbox, may not have played all of them but the investment to time played in the ones they get right faaaaaar outweighs a couple bad ones. I have enjoyed most of them, and still play 4 on xbox regularly to keep my little bird sticks up to par(its gonna be a slaughter up there).
I pre-ordered without an ounce of hesitation, everyone cried at the beginning of 4, gamebreaker maps, but i can still jump on today and have fun on a rotation of maps plucked for purpose. Just hate when admins get all change happy when your stomping their team into the ground.
I just want all of these COD kids to show up early so i can get my stuff unlocked before the Mil-Simmers take over, the Warzone community has noooooo idea what they are about to get into, i see many crashed choppers @ spawn, and tanks skidding down hills while they frantically try to recenter behind them. Bring on the jump shotting corner camping slide cancellers, i got an Abrahams im gonna ram through the wall while you grease up your controller. Stay to much and ill take the pillars out, go find another house to hide in kid. And the little bird, oh how i cant want to put this garbage in the warzone garage, and get back to 360 nose down piroettes on a flag as a mobile spawn point for deploying team members.
lol... that was fun.
Im ready to be initially dissappointed and amazed by Dice, but im just optimistic they will have taken the time to get this right. I found a Ps5 for the occasion, had this not been going on it would have probably waited to build the PC that ill build when Miners arent duelsing for the Big TI's. See you guys out there

I get a weeks worth of Leveling up the Birds, ECM's Flares, Homing rockets and 30 mm cannons. I get it that everyone will get there, but hey ill take the headstart.
With the way things are going. Wouldn't surprise me if they spring the Beta a week before the release of the game. They most likely figured the time that you would have to cancel your orders after trying the beta. This would eliminate the possibilities of refunds. The early release of the game to the pre order crowd would most likely be a extended beta test.
Pre-ordered through GameStop. Unfortunately since there wasn't/isn't Gold and Ultimate disc versions...I had to go with the standard, which blows...but better than nothing.
Idk about other places, but nothing is charged to my card until it's release date....so I'm not out anything if I don't like the beta.
Which as long as me and my clan can roll private rooms with and against AI only, I'm good....and jacked up for this game to release.
Preordered when i saw the portal announcement, probably wouldn't have if it wasn't in as i'm squarely in the "series has been meh since BF1/battlefront" category.
I have pre-ordered pretty much every title since BC2 when it was possible though, but between not getting the same feeling from BF1/5 and just some burnout in general i was going to wait and see.
I didn't think BF1/5 were total trainwrecks by the way, i think i'm more tired of the ww1/2 settings vs current or future settings.
That, and the loss of community servers and an almost complete absence of moderation at the best of times in 1/5 plus the clownshow that was battlefront and... Anthem, though that wasn't dice's fault.
Basically, like Bioware, EA/Dice had hit the wait and see category rather than automatic pre-order, but even if it's the usual hilarity of bugs at launch, i'll be ok if portal is even half of what they promise and hence they got my money.
Well, they *will* eventually get my money, because pre-order doesn't mean pay right away for some reason, which actually irks me as i hate not having the option of paying right then and there.
(pre-ordered the FFXIV expansion coming up and the destiny expansion, both of which let me pay immediately if i wanted. Just give me the damn option EA!)

Haven't pre-ordered a BF game like ever except maybe BF 1 because that's when I started going digital. I've played betas and bought the games day one since BF2 except hardline and BF V. I picked up BF V on game pass for free and I'm starting to think I'm gonna let BF2042 ride it's own wave of suck until I can get it discounted and keep playing 4.
