Help with use of frag grenade
Is there a way to cook the frag grenades before throwing them?
Somehow I can't seem to kill anyone with frag grenades, unless it's an AI.
Everybody just runs away and my nades do nothing.
I'd rather like them to explode right in my opponent's face before he even notices that I threw one.
@SharpGoblin what you can do tho to help yourself with using it is to know how they work in BF2042.
In case you didn't know, the timer to when it blows up doesn't start when you throw it, it actually starts when it first time touches any surface. Quite quickly after that it goes off.
So if you know where you want it to end up, maybe you have like a wall or anything close by your target area that it could bounce off from. Cause then make sure to throw it that way so it bounces off of that surface (which triggers the timer to blow up soon) and after that bounce it should jump towards that target zone where you want it to be and it will blow up there faster. To give the target less time to get away.
Or other example, let it do a double bounce of the ground.
So just throw it closer to yourself on the ground while looking towards your target, so it jumps once off the ground (which triggers the timer) and then it gets further towards the target and blows up then.
Because at the first bounce when still further away from the enemy, he probably won't care too much as it doesn't look that much as a threat to him and neither is it close enough for the "throw back" option yet. Then when it's closer at the second jump it's already too late.
