Sadly only mistakes that end up benefiting the players end up getting a quick fix.
Like the zombie grind fix.

Problems with incorrect price in store get fix same minute it was discovered. Ultrafast hotfix.

It is a sensitive new breed of CMs. They would not dare to engage in real conversations about the game with the community. They cherry-pick which ones to engage in. They rarely, if ever respond to any criticism.
What they don't understand is we wouldn't be here if we didn't want the game to be a success. We aren't complaining just to complain. Just look at the player counts. This game is an abject failure regardless of perspective, but it doesn't have to be. They just need to listen to the community and bring back some core BF functionality to the game.- BR-DuaneDibbley4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Adamonic
They might even want to do that, but with just a handful of developers (at most) there is only so much that can be done.
Of course they don't admit to that and even flat out lied about this fact, even if it is so obvious. Now we got the statement from the highest level at Dice that 'No other game is in development and all are working on BF2042!', even though we know that IF that would be a true statement, the rework of all launch maps would have been completed already. But we will get just ONE map rework in S1 later in August. ONE! And most likely one ONE new map with S2 -- IF we are lucky (nobody confirmed even that bit).
How hard can it be to integrate the basic core features that are most requested? Definitely not very hard, especially for things like persistent servers and a server browser for AoW. All this is already in the game in Portal. Why don't we get it? Because the 2-3 guys are desperately working on other things to make it look like someone is still working on BF2042, even if basically nobody does.
So, what should the CMs communicate. Were they to post here about that, they would also have to perpetuate this lie. They clearly could not come here and state: 'Sorry, no core features will come in the foreseeable future as the 3 remaining devs need to focus on getting the one map out and fixing the most important bugs.'
