A pinned "Weekly Status/Progress Update" at the top of the forum would suffice.
Might be too big of an ask, I guess.
I fully agree with you, your idea of a pinned "Weekly Status/Progress Update" at the top of the forum is exactly what this community needs.
We all know that BF2042 has many problems but just think how much better things would be if we knew what was being worked on and when we could expect a fix.
IMHO there is way too long a wait between patches / updates and during that time players are frustrated with the various bugs / issues that are ruining their gaming experience. A regular progress update on upcoming fixes would at least help to ease that frustration.

It is good feedback.
We talk between multiple platforms so I understand it's easy for players to lose track of our answer between Reddit, Twitter, Discord and our forums. I am not opposed to collecting the answers we provide and collating them into a weekly summary. Will check into what that looks like.

- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@Straatford87 That would be a huge improvement. Needing to lurk 4-5 platforms, plus multiple accounts on each of those respective platforms while often having to sift through personal, non-BF/work related posts is frustrating and not fun.

Yeah I agree it would be a vast improvement, I always feel like we are getting information second hand, so something like this is badly needed here on the official BF2042 forum.
I will look forward to seeing how this weekly summary plays out.

Regards the next developer update. It would be amazing if they discussed in detail.
* future for clans/platoons* squad controls improvements
* features to support team work in general
* their current thoughts on benefits of having two rounds per match/ swapping sides with same players, perhaps squads, maybe some balancing. As this helps build communities and rapport between players
* scoreboard, is it too focussed on K/d and how it could be updated to better score players on teamwork.
* portal features for helping clans build communities. Persistence, map rotations and some official portals with ability to gain XP contributions to weekly tasks and weapon unlocks etc.* developer opinion on hardcore mode. Seriously the best mode.
basicaly, bf2042 feels like a game built for individuals rather than teams.- RayD_O14 years agoHero@FlibberMeister
Good post, I have often thought that BF2042 feels more like a single player game.

I figure I'll throw in on this too...I notice little things are changing behind the scenes with no communication. It's a little thing but I've noticed that the bots on your team in solo/co-op will now revive, heal and supply you. They rarely if EVER did any of that before. That tells me things are being worked on even if we don't know about it. Now take that fact that as a player, I notice this change, which is good, but there is ZERO communication about the actual game breaking issues that exist. One example would be the ADS issue...I posted this in another thread but I think it bears repeating. I've modified it a bit here from the original. I run a team that provides customer support and experience for an IT company so that's where I get my reference for communication.
A couple of things I personally think will quell the masses...
1. Pick a platform. Having 4 places for info is tough. I mean you may have a question in the forums, but your answer is in Reddit. Not everyone has time to check through oodles of info on 4 platforms. Pick one and say "all feedback is here". This seems like a good place for "Official" feedback.
2. Respond to everything even if the answer is no or we don't know. I know that's herculean, but again picking a single platform helps. Even "we don't intend to do anything about this in the near future" is an answer. No response or a response that isn't seen because it's on a random platform is detrimental to a good customer experience.
3. Be as transparent as possible. Not saying you aren't, but there are tons of feedback requested with no response or a response you can't find seems like you're hiding in the shadows. Be vocal even if you have nothing to report. "Hey guys, we're trying on this thing, but blah blah blah happened and pushed us back a few days."
4. Don't insert random "behind the scenes changes" that the customer base can see without some communication. How does it look when you have an issue that 500 people have complained about that is ruining gameplay, have ZERO acknowledgement or information but then some "feature" or "enhancement" is added? It makes me as a customer wonder if you aren't wasting resources. Look I know there are more than one developer, but perception is reality. It appears you aren't working on broken mechanics but rather adding new gimmicky things. Again, COMMUNICATION IS KEY! Just tell us what's going on.
4. Never lose sight of the fact that while we are gamers, and some of us may not come at you the right way, we're still the customers that pay for everything you have. Keep us informed and watch the responses change. I'm betting they will...
- Anobix4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Echo6Echo I agree with a large part of what you wrote there.
One thing to note, it was included in the briefings/patch notes that AI will show up in your squads now and will revive more often.
But yes, the overall message of items that are shadow-changes that aren't included in patch notes that are left to be found by the community and put into a 100+ list every month or so is pretty annoying. But I guess I can understand why it can be difficult to lump together patch notes when one change happens it may not be on the same Trello/JIRA board as someone else is looking at or just not mentioned and found later.
