I had to respond to this even though I stray away from posting on forums.
Playing Boris or w/e is not at all the same as playing an Engineer from previous titles. From my 800 hours in BF4 maybe 200 were playing an Engineer with a rocket launcher and a torch. This is what an Engineer is for me. I can repair friendly vehicles and I can help destroy enemy ones. Now I have to choose and be either completely useless at helping friendlies or severely limited destroying enemies (e.g. by playing Sundance, not even the "specialists" listed as engineers - which are absolutely useless by the way). It's one of the things that infuriate me the most with BF 2042 at the moment. Not that its million other design flaws are too far behind.
