Horrible spawns in BF2042
Why are we always spawned out in the open? Just now, I spawned in directly in the line of fire of an enemy. What the actual F?? WHY do we not spawn behind cover???? Who came up with this &$&#%??

@Ironhead841 In BF4 the spawns were very predictable, some maps were worse than others though.
I remember in BF4, never spawn on contested flags, because half your spawns would result in instant deaths, just like in 2042.

If only we had the squad video view, where we could select a squad mate and see and over the shoulder view of what they were seeing, like in previous BF games.
What drives me up the wall though is when I select a flag to spawn on, an area my team already control and are defending, and you actually spawn nowhere near the flag. You may as well have selected the initial team spawn point rather then the flag. I don't expect to appear next to the flag, but surely I should appear just outside the capture zone? But no, the game spawns me so far away that the flag has been lost by the time I get there....

This spawning nowhere near the flag is another of my pet hates. 😒
- @RayD_O1 Yep. Not only do I spawn nowhere near the captured flag, but out in the open near enemy crossfire. Or out in the open clearly visible to enemy snipers.
