Miss the Stadium.......
But I think it's better than what it once was originally. Had some cool fights underground this morning.

More tickets...is what we need to begin with.

Only played a few rounds but so far I think DICE is just trolling us at this point
It is a mess and that is about all I can say without been temp banned again.
Also DICE sort the desync out!
I peaked over the edge of the bridge, ducked down, ran 2 metres then died to the person UNDERNEATH the bridge that had already shot and killed me when I peaked.
Absolute joke of a game. Overall not bad, but still too much free/unused space in the middle of the map.
I was wondering if Dice could introduce a reworked stadium (add more damage inside to make it look like a war zone, change the layout of the tunnels) and add this as new map - and we'd get something like "Fort de Vaux" from Battlefield 1 or "Operation locker" from BF4.
This is really doable, and I think the community would then forgive the removal of the stadium from Hourglass.

I played Breakthrough.
It is better, but mainly due to one sector, B.Sector B is awesome, I don't know why they didn't make a map with 3 of those types of sectors. You can have air combat, vehicular combat, infantry combat, and mixed combat all in and around B1 and B2. There is verticality with the underground areas, and safe routes of passage for Infantry. I really liked that area, one of the best sectors of all the maps for BT.
Then you get to C1, and it is literally fish in a barrel with little to no cover to get to the point. There is absolutely nothing but sand on either side of the points, and defenders have high ground AND cover. What sucks is, this is it, they aren't gonna change anything again. I just don't know how you could make Sector B so good, then make a point like C1 and think it is comparable. So from a D- map to a C+ map, and that is about all you can ask for.
The stadium wasn't in BT, so it's removal has no impact, though it would've been epic to have the B sector with tunnels lead to the stadium. Another missed opportunity there.

That sounds like a good idea. 👍 - TTZ_Dipsy3 years agoHero+
I see a lot of people saying they miss the stadium but I've seen maybe 4 other people in there since launch lol.
Could you tweak map settings in Portal before to have CQC matches in there?
They removed the best part of the map: The Stadium area.
They removed the whole vibe of the map: 128 players. Now is a mess using the bridge one side and another.
The downtown area still being so bad, nobody cares about that zone.
The worst "rework" till date. Bad job DICE.Sorry.

I've not had chance to play it yet but have watched a couple of streams. It looks like a mixed bag.
Downtown B C & D are great reworks but C-D needs more cover.
The bridge could use more cover with twice as many wrecked cars and trucks.
I'd have removed A1 before I'd have removed the stadium. Removing the stadium is a big disappointment. Those copy and paste, completely empty small buildings at A1 are an eye sore even though they are at least destructible assets.
The new underground area is a welcomed addition but also not at the expense of losing stadium.
Still loads of empty space even though they've scaled the overall size down.
All in all it's better, but expected better.

bad on 64-player conquest and downright atrocious on 128...
i didn't think they could make a map worse but here they went and proved me wrong yet again.... GG DICE
