How did you guys get this wrong

The new call of duty just dropped and your ability to play cross gen this game is lacking cross gen. I don't see how you guys got this wrong it is very difficult to play against PC players. I didn't buy a ps5 to play with PC. I normally stick to the ps4 version of the game it is nerve wrecking when you lose gun fights against PC players because they have a huge advantage.

@A7XBOY77 Get on an Xbox. I am routinely wiped all over the map by them, due to the crappy netcode we have to contend with. I almost never win in a face to face fight, and most of the time, I am running into a building or other hard cover and 2 seconds later, I am dead, which looks like they shot me through the walls. In truth, I was dead as soon as I saw them. They have a big advantage over PC players due to the lag, and I am not the only one who has brought this up.
So I just deal with it and have to accept it as part of the price to play with cross platform.

@A7XBOY77 I feel your pain. Lol every match has pc players at the top with 50+ kills. People complain about Xbox players having some advantage which I haven't noticed. Either way it appears ps5 players are screwed.

Don't know how the current split is of BF2042 players, but the largest segment of players used in previous versions of Battlefield to be on the PlayStation platform.  So that along has been sufficient to support the PlayStation world on its own through previous versions of this game with no problem, certainly not when looking at the largest geographic regions worldwide.

E.g. I play PS5 and have by default always crossplay disabled, and I have no problem to find live matches so far.  (located in European region).

The PC world was the second largest player group in Battlefield and third came the xBox players.

So xBox gamers are probably now the worst hit segment by the dwindling player population on the BF2042 game unless they enable the crossplay with PC players, who probably for the most part all leave crossplay on?

  • The reason why cross-gen is lacking in this game is because on ps5 they have 128 player servers and on ps4 it is 64 players max...

For me personally i would prefer cross-gen at 64 players max.

The 128 player games are just a big chaotic mess and no fun at all. It was a just a selling point of the game, BIGGER maps, more chaos, more players, more shooting pawpawpaw... Turned out that it ****** big time!

I said it many times before and i will say it one more time: 64 player conquest/breakthrough and 32 player rush/tdm is the sweetspot! And if they had listened, cross-gen would be possible.

@HJ_Spacewar its funny you say that, cause I was just thinking about it. I'm on Xbox and die more to PC players, and some Xbox players, but can't remember the last time a PS player killed me, lol.

@TwentyValve Yeah that's my experience as well. PS5 is probably just the smallest player base now that it's on Xbox game pass. Who knows without the actual data lol PC player do dominate most of the matches I play though. Always top kills.
