How to fix: The problem of bots counting in the leaderboards
Hello again, Today i am here to talk to you about the problems that brings allowing the bots to count for the leaderboard.
For those who are not aware how bad it is, here is the battletracker leaderboard
The numer one player has over 6 million bot kills and that placed him in the number one position worldwide, Even though i am aware that the people who care about their position on the leaderboards are not a mayority, it is still important to have a well regulated game so people who hate fairness dont have the tools to exploit the bots to get a high position on the leaderboards
So now, i am going to explain how to fix this conondrum
But first i have to explain the current XP sytems employed on Battlefield 2042
- Full - No restrictions in any way (Killing bots in oficial matchaking counts for T1 by example)
- Moderate - Progess up to 360 kills, regardless of if you kill players or bots, ribbons on.
- Restricted- Up to 300 xp per minute. no ribbons or gun progression at all.
That whole thing, kind of sucks, and dont go around thinking "Oh well just put restricted so people wont exploit bots to get into the leaderboards", and well, that does work, but people still exploited restricted XP servers, as seen on the report that me, myself exposed it nine months ago

Bots giving any kind of progession has to go, i know this could sound as an extremely hot or wrong take but let me explain what im trying to suggest.
Instead of having the previous xp systems; Full, Moderate and Restricted, i offer:
For the official matchmaking (What it was Full): Bots dont give xp or weapon progress but people can get T1 killing actual players and Recieve ribbons, kills count for the leaderboards.
For portal games, Implement a detection system that triggers once the portal server reach half its capacity for the ribbons to be activated, this check could be made on the pre-game lobby, But, players can still get T1 gun progression as long they kill players,
For Portal games that use the custom setting, yeah, that is restricted, not even like the previous Restricted that gives you 300 xp per minute, this one will not give you any xp nor progression, Servers with a custom logic are only for the love of the game, since, it was exploited in the past.
If EA implement this, The leaderboars will restore their integrity, the current one just put in the number one the person who get the best method to exploit the sytem.
