I haven't played BFV recently, but in the beginning machine guns were precises like a laser, and could take out every bolt action sniper easily.
Long range pot shotters are probably the biggest complaint in all of Battlefield (next to anti-cheat) and I'm sure there will be a lot of angry folks out there if DICE were to remove glint outright. While I don't want to see it gone completely, I wouldn't mind a few tweaks to the formula - things like previously suggested distance based glint could work; with the new "plus" system, snipers should be able to switch to iron sights to negate the problem too which is nice

There is so much that could be done to reduce any long range camping beside glint on high power scope for any weapon. Rifles need to also need to become more balanced at short distances too.
1) Glint beyond a certain distance. (100m)
2) Shorten the time of ADS to spread being added. This exist on iron sights too.
3) Bring back suppression on people ADS beyond a certain distance tied to glint.
Plus system will help avoid glint but is actually over looking other issues.
