Idea for Jet pilot Limitation
I flew jets a ton in BF2, BF3 and a little bit in BF4, and while I loved the mechanics of dogfighting, there is no doubt that jet battles became a little stale towards the end of BF4. Dogfighting came down to who could keep their speed as close to 313mph as they went around and around in circles. It's been this way since BF2 as far as I remember.
I believe that putting a mechanic in the game around limitations on pilots to g-forces can solve a lot of the monotony around flying jets. When a pilot experiences G's in 2042, there should be a black outline that shows up on the screen. The longer that pilot is turning at very high G's, the more that black outline should form around the screen. If the pilot pulls G's for too long, they should "Pass out" momentarily. The screen should go black and there should be a momentary loss of control of the aircraft.
This would not only add a bit of realism, but it would also make pilots be tactical around when they pull high G turns. In order to be good in a Jet, you'll have to do more than turning left at 313mph.
I've heard that the whole "black outline" may already be a feature in BF2042, however I think it is worth taking things a step further and "Penalizing" pilots who are constantly taking sharp turns and going in circles.
I know it's late stage and there probably isn't enough time to implement this, but I was thinking about it yesterday and thought it was worth mentioning.
Thoughts?
