If BF2042 was released now

Would your opinion of the game be any different? Just consider everything to this point as a beta (felt like it).

The game is in much better shape than at launch and it seems like it is finally pointed in the right direction. For me, I would say my view of the game is more favorable now than it was shortly after launch, but things like the lack of a Server Browser and performance issues related to mouse input and TTKvsTTD are still killing the experience for me. Everything is still too randomized for me, between just joining a match to my rubber bullets vs insta-deaths. I really hope they can smooth that out a little bit because it feels like they are at the cusp of bringing some players back.

The map updates are 100% better than at launch and it seems like they finally have the formula down for those. The lack of Portal maps in AOW has been a little disappointing because those always seem very favorable when added. Hopefully, we will see some new classic maps added over the next few seasons.

Thoughts?

@TTZ_Dipsy All these changes mean nothing if you still can not get into AOW and play. Its been this way for me since Dec last year. I have been hoping they would bring back the server browser but we know thats not going to happen. So now i have to wait and see what the next BF game is going to be and hope we get back what is suppose to be in a BF game and hope i can play.

Fair enough. I think if the game started like this, they would have retained a much larger portion of the playerbase.

I haven't personally had any AOW issues but it sucks other people are as it can affect future titles

@TTZ_Dipsy i don't count the reworks as content because all DICE has done is finish the development of the maps with additional art detail, fundamentally they play the same.
