@BizzyVapingI`m on 240 hrs but slowly getting bored. I`ve found my self playing bf5 and bf1 today, more than i played 2042. We really need some new maps and weapons. I`ve done 5 weapon mastery and i cant really find another weapon i enjoy now.
Heres hoping the next content patch will have at least 10 new weapons, 5 new gadgets and at least 1 map, but 2 would be awesome. And ofc it would be appreciated if it was coming before march, cos that is too late.Yeah the fact that we wont get new maps until march is the one thing that really annoy me atm.
Im still having fun just playing, but I have run out of things to grind for to.
@CantGetRight wrote:If DICE implemented some legacy features like scoreboard and VOIP but kept the specialist would you come back to the game? What would it take for them to put you into this game?
With around 270h in I have fun with BF2042 and I play 99% of the time 128p conquest.
I don't mind if there is VoIP or not but I think it is 100% needed for Hazard Zone (playing with randoms is not really possible!) and maybe it could also be useful for some Solo players in Conquest.
I don't care about a "classic" scoreboard for me it is forcing the wrong kind of Teamplay.
Yes, a Server Browser is a nice to have but I would like to see more option to config the Matchmaking like a list for the maps and mode you want to play to create a kind of your own rotation.
I stopped playing at rank 50. They'd have to add Joystick support for me to play more.
It would take "legacy features" and also the muting of specialist quips at the end of round at the bare minimum for me to consider coming back

Honestly they can keep the skins, just dont tie them to specialists. Have your standard 4 classes, have those classes only use certain equipment. It's all right there already.
I still do feel that the enemy team should not look like you, though. Have your team see you in your skins, and the enemy team in generic looking country specific skins that look nothing like the specialists. Fighting people that look exactly like your team mates is confusing in heavy fighting.

They have to add it before I even start playing at all. It's a joke that it's still missing.
- @SirBobdk I do feel like I got my moneys worth at least. Just sux I wasn't able to take to the skies.
Maybe it's best I didn't, just a lock on beep, beep, beep festival. - filthy_vegans4 years agoSeasoned Ace
A server browser would be great. VOIP would help me play with randoms, maybe make a few friends and at least try to get some teamplay going.
A rich stats API that allows me to peruse my stats and make better decisions about how I play would be great. I read somewhere that Battlefield tracker say March before they get their stats site up and running for 2042. I don't know if that's true though.
I'd love something like Symthic visualisations as well (damn that site was good!), although that might just be more a case of players with the appropriate skills mining the data and visualising it.

@CantGetRight Probably not. There is so much about 2042 that feels bad and not like Battlefield. I have tried after every update and over Christmas, but it just feels unrewarding and there are better games to take up my time.
I will probably still return after updates to have a look, but as the core game and its mechanics are part of the problem, I don't see me staying long.
