Well this isn't as bad of a launch as BF4 was, so that's a start, but there are a few issues I have with the game. Maybe Dice has addressed and I have not seen it but I don't understand why there are so few guns in the game right now. I can recall BF3, 4 and 1 having more of a variety of guns at launch then 2042, so that's a disappointment. The biggest grievance I have is the controller layout. For reference I play on PS4 and the first match I got into I ending up spending nearly the whole time having to go into the controller mapping as there was no option to select a classic battlefield controller layout. I have been playing the game off and on since launch and finally discovered yesterday while browsing through the controller settings why, when I put a tank in reverse and look behind me to make sure I don't get stuck on something, the tank instead starts going forward. That has been one of the most frustrating aspects of the game that I have encountered and makes me ask why the hell would that be as a default. I still don't know how one can check the scoreboard during or at the end of the match. The ribbon system is not like that of the best. When it shows that at the end of a match I have no idea if I made any progress on those ribbons or not. One thing I have noticed that I hope Dice puts a fix in real soon is that at the onset of a match, if an enemy is in a jet they can fly that into the deployment area where those of the opposing team are off loading the transport copter and kill a few of those that are on the ground. I've experience this on that Kaleidoscope map and whatever the one is called that has the port with all the shipping containers. The updates they have come out with since launch have improved the game in my opinion, so hopefully after the holiday break they can get some more updates out there.
