The foot steps are ok except when you are inside a building or structure and you cannot tell if the person is above or below you.
Gun/vehicle sounds, honestly go back to bf1. They were far better.
The best thing they did in this is the + system. Its intuitive and just works.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and views.
It is very interesting and to be honest it is very sad that from this small sampling there are very few things in this game that are good. I hope that someone from EA and Dice has read through this. I doubt any have but I wasn't counting on it.
I realize that when I started this thread I didn't offer up my thoughts. The Plus system is one that I do like. As others have mentioned I do find the ingame audio to be ok. I guess the only other thing that I can say is that I tolerate the game, despite the massive issues present, enough to kill some time playing it still. It is not a good game compared to other BF titles or titles from other studios. But, until something new comes along that snags my interest I will continue to play it.
Again my thanks for you input.

If I were asked to do the same for Battlefield V, my list would be even smaller.
I also forgot to mention how much I enjoy the graphics in Battlefield 2042. The Specialists were designed well and are all memorable. I like their different personalities. The one liners after the match give this game an old school arcade vibe that I can appreciate. I've never felt that the tone of the game needed to be darker or grittier. This was not an issue for me.
Uh...and while I can think of several other things that the haptic feedback in the Dual Sense controller could have been used for like like feeling heavy vehicles approach when on foot as we were able to in Bad Company way back on PS3. Feeling my own characters' footsteps is cool. So is the wind when the tornado is in play.
To those discussing sound. To me it is on par with Battlefield 3 and 4 which while the effects sound great. Hearing what I need to hear in real time is a problem. I never know a helicopter is above me or anywhere near me until it is blasting the crap out of me. Then I miraculously hear the blades spinning when I am down waiting for the revive.
