It is for me. Been flying jets and choppers in BF games since 1942. 1000's of hours with a fight stick and really the main reason I love BF games.
I'll have to skip it and cancel my pre-order if not. Be a bummer for sure. Anyone have any news on the matter? Thanks.
Its a BETA mate, who said there is no flight stick support. You cant even remap mouse buttons, do you think that wont be fixed also....
Weird, I was able to remap all my mouse buttons no problem. Certainly don't need Dice for that as you can easily reconfigure all your mouse buttons through the software.
I can't find any info stating support it will be added, and this is the first BF that I can remember either beta or full release with zero support for Joystick.
I guess they didn't see a need to put it in this year cos most of people play either KB and M or they use a controller it's a bit of a pity but maybe once it's brought up by alot of people they might consider putting it back in but if there's only a few using something like this then they may not.
All I ready is: "I believe", "I Guess", but no, there was not Joystick support in BF1 and if there is also no Support in BF2042 I will not buy it.
I don`t care about others who like to fly by mouse.
If EA brings Planes and Choppers to the game, It has be a must to support also Joysticks. Sorry but you just need to develop it once and import the libraries every time. If this is too much effort, than it is also too much effort for me to buy the game.
I have been flying on PC with an xbox controller since launch. It's easy to setup. Still waiting for flight stick control support.

Had considered that option but decided to wait. I do not want to buy a game with a key factor missing.
I really do hope that they wil eventualy get the finger out , and fix this, no joystick support is a joke. This is completely unacceptable any way you look at it . . . The joystick suport was one of the main reasons the first game was so succesfull, and that the series remained so. Not allowing the players the use of propper flight peripherals is like selling a car, but the engine and wheels is an optional extra that is not available on this model . . . Its a complete scam, not to say, as mentioned above, a JOKE . . .
