Joysticks do not work via Origin at least, Shankerz. Neither does the PS4 controller. I tried Big Picture mode, Xoutput, x360, etc. No luck.
If you launch it via Steam however the PS4 controller seems to be correctly recognized.
This makes me think that the game might actually work with the joystick if bought and launched on Steam - maybe.
Has anyone launched the game native to Steam and had any success or issues with their joystick there?
Quick note: Unplugging my joystick allows the controller to be recognized in Origin without requiring Steam as well. However unplugging the controller does not allow the joystick to be recognized.
you can set up a joystick in portal mode with x360ce, but still wont work in 2042, looks to be intentional, should get a full refund for poorly put together console port.
