I wouldn't call it typical big business anything... Its simply them having other priorities. They delayed the game's launch, meaning it wasn't ready, so the fact it doesn't have joystick support out of the box isn't a surprise, since that's less critical than other things they probably needed to fix. My appeal is that they add it, but I can wait a little while.
These games are massively complex. I'm speaking as a dude that owned an Atari 2600 and Pong, but am still a gamer. So have a little patience, young man. BF4 wasn't perfect out of the box (also lacked joystick upon release), but they eventually got it right.

Not true, all the games they have released had joystick support, till 2042. I know cause I have been playing since day BF1942, I own and played them all.

BF1 also didn`t have joystick support to begin with.

I think they fixed it within the first week after release. I was flying with K/M to begin with.
Hmm that's embarrassing because they were ready to cash in on their unfinished game...double standards?...um embarrassing
