After today's patch, i thought id give my X52 pro another binding attempt.
i removed all controller bindings and the mouse removed free look keys and the mouse binding, left the others.
exited the game. Switching on the joystick set all options for the controller to custom.
set throttle to zero, and clicked the bind it registered I checked in-game and the throttle had been detected full range.
now the tricky bits are the yaw and direction.
make sure the throttle is set to the center position, then pitch and roll will bind. now go back into the controller and set pilot buttons to default. then bind the main fire trigger etc.
A b c d all detect.
now using the Logitech programming software
Yaw set the yaw to mouse right and mouse left. (the x-axis) in bindings, and in the Logitech software programming enable mouse X-axis as directional. (see pic 20211125_210629.jpg)
Now set the twist as BANDS 3 they are standard as 3 I think.
0-33
33-67
67-100
now I used Numpad 6 (yaw Right) in the 0-33%
and Numad4 (yaw left) 67-100%
DONT USE ANY VALUE in the middle band leave it blank (see pic 20211125_210108.jpg)
I also used the hats for flares/spotting/change seat/ repair/
but you must program keystrokes for each direction, set the hats to 4 way saves a lot of
then profile and save.
don't forget to add your joystick commands to the bindings on the keyboard side and that your x52 profile is running before you make your updates to the bindings.
and it should work a treat. you may want to adjust in-game sensitivity for your preferred style.
the yaw has a full range and isn't just on or off very controllable.
any questions I will be glad to answer them
happy flying
PS:added what my pilot binds look like just for ref (20211125_212543.jpg)
