In Portal even with BF2042 preset none of the kills count towards weapon attachment unlocks! Seriously. So we are forced to play the core game in order to unlock stuff and progress? I was under the impression that progression worked in Portal?

This is going to sound sarcastic, and I promise I don't mean it that way, I'm not trying to be a dillhole.
If you don't want to play all out war, why are you bothered about progression? The only unlocks, as far as I'm aware, are for AOW and Hazard zone.
Don't get me wrong, I think portal should have had its own progression system, but by standard at least everything is unlocked within it...
@WrongJeremy lol no worries. If you use the 2042 factions in Portal you can't use all the attachments unless you've unlocked them in the core game as far as I'm aware.

You probably are right mate, I haven’t done any 2042 content in portal yet, only the curated experiences that DICE set up.
Has their been any official news about how and when they are going to bring back progression in Portal then? You'd think it would be a very high priority right now as it was one of the main selling points of the game. I can't check their Twitter because for some reason they blocked me not long after BF3 released, no idea why because I don't even use Twitter and never really have lol
