Latest Update about Solo/Co-Op and Custom Portal Progression, CAPPED again!!!

I'm wondering whether to buy the game, basically I play PVE (I like battlefield but I don't like multiplayer PVP) and I'm still wondering whether to buy the game or not, I play alone (Player vs CPU, I'm not interested in PVP at all ) my question is the following ... can you play plaver vs PVE (AI bots), gain experience and unlock weapons? or has that mode been removed? if there is no gain of experience in the mode "singleplayer PLAYER vs CPU (AI bots) I refrain from spending my money
