Leaked gameplay
Did you guys see the gameplay videos that were leaked? Seems a lot like BF4, I think. Very interesting! Got me hyped, I must say.
And yet again we have the moronic sliding gimmick making its way back into the game. Who knew streets were made of polished marble? Was bad enough in BFV with people sliding around in rubble. They always have to include some stupid little movement gimmick that gets overused to the point of annoyance..
The "don't like it don't buy it" mantra was what an ea exec was peddling before the launch of bfv, and we all know what happened there. As for movement, thats what transport vehicles are for, no need to up the speed of infantry.

@TAYTER-GUNWell if you don't like it than don't buy it. At this point it really is as simple as that.
Having said that I agree there should be less sliding but I think the overall movement should be faster since the maps are a lot bigger now.
I would prefer more light vehicles or transport vehicles.
Do not think we should be able to run faster or longer.
It's gotten a little too much like speedy gonzales Imo.
Sliding is just a weird addition just like diving dolphins were
The only little concern i took from the footage(s) was lack of action, and player visibility. Other than that, it looked pretty decent considering this was a earlier build.
Sliding how it was in BFV was BAD or just plain broken, you can slide around corners or zig zag lol, I would like to see a dive to prone when hitting prone at full sprint, but only when having full momentum at sprint to prevent abuse or spam.
I humbly Disagree with movement needing to be faster, Getting caught in the open and killed as infantry now that 3d spot has been limited or removed is often the result of poor situational awareness or impatience. Vehicles are there to speed around in and by the looks of things it's going to be easier than ever to get your hands on one in BF2042.
I do doubt sprint will remain as fast as we saw in the technical test though, it may have just been sped up for testing purposes or was an illusion due to FOV being quite fisheyed in the leaked vids i saw.
Was the playtest 64 players or 128? Just wondering.
