Map DLC and Season Pass Please Hear me out!

Ok so this happens to every game that has ever been like this whether they we're from EA or whatever. Particularly Battlefield 3 and 4 this happened to me. I've always loved the series so I would spend extra money for the dlc or season passes. However after spending this money and a certainly know I'm not the only one. Realize it was basically a waste because not enough people ever have the map packs.  Especially a few years in. For BF3/4 there are maps I've never stepped foot in and I paid for them! So it's kinda like you rip people off. I'm not asking for a refund or anything. It's just that at the very least give the maps out for free after a certain time frame. If anything do it for the people that actually bought them. I'm telling you I would always still buy the maps so I could play on them right away so you would still get your money. Furthermore when this happens it cuts down on the life span of a game. After a while it gets lame to play on the same old maps over and over. You know you always have servers for rent so you lose money when people stop renting them. I would rent a server for bf4 and include all the dlc maps but I don't. Reason being is because some server owners practically beg people to buy the maps so they themselves would be able to enjoy them. Nobody does because of things like this so you're not making money on them anyway. I know you would be able to make more money on the older games. If you would announce "Hey we dropped the price on the full-DLC bf4 and now everyone that owns the game can download all the maps for free!" You already made plenty of money and I'm sure you would make a lot more doing this. (So correct me if I'm wrong. For lack of better words your job is to count change and throw it at people or uh stock broker whatness. It's the game developers job to make the games right? Hence you know money they know games!) So there needs to be a mutual trust, you know. I know the devs really want people to get the most enjoyment out of yours and their games! I'm sure you remember what happened with that one game with the lazer blasters and shiny glowing swords. Just Saying. For the people that Love these games let us enjoy them and what we paid for. Not intending to be disrespectful in any way I always just tell people like it is. Thank You 🙂

  • @CyberDyme If it becomes a paid subscription service, I will stop playing. To be honest, I'm doing a cost-benefit analysis of gaming, in general, and I'm on the fence going forward. Many things that I don't care much for are becoming a regular part of gaming, these days. I will be saddened, for a little while, but it won't kill me to stop playing.

    @ChugKendall You misunderstood his post.

    It's not a paid subscription just to play the game. The paid Season Passes are mainly just cosmetics while the stuff that effects gameplay such as New Maps and New Weapons will be FREE for everyone who owns the game itself.

    Then the standard edition seem to be the right choice if you do not care about skins. And no point in buying passes.  I also misunderstood what I was reading.
