Maps for Battlefield 2042 Portal

I’ve been playing battlefield since the BC2 beta released on PS3 and I got to say Battlefield 3 had some of the most thought out balanced and fun maps I’ve ever played from any shooter game, I think for the best customer reviews the following maps in their original design are a MUST most people I knew didn’t like the “remastered” versions that were in the BF4 DLCs

Grand bazaar

Talah market

Epicenter

Siene Crossing

Ziba tower

Scrapmetal

  • Hi @lIAdamantII

At the release of Battlefield 2042 we'll get the 7 Base maps from BF2042 + 6 classic much loved maps from previous titles. That's all what will be available at launch.

    Those are:

    ⭐Battlefield 1942 ⭐

    - Battle of the Bulge

    - El Alamein

    ⭐Battlefield Bad Company 2 ⭐

    - Valparaiso

    - Arica Harbor

    ⭐Battlefield 3 ⭐

    - Caspian Border

    - Noshahr Canals

What else we'll get later on during the game's life circle, that's still open to EA/DICE.

But if they're listening to the Community, who knows what we can still expect. 🙂

There are for sure still more awesome and loved maps out there from previous titles, as you just mentioned some.

    Hello

I know these are the maps which include fully rebuilt assets, 4K availability and 60FPS – will be available at launch:

Remember Arica Harbour "loved it can not wait to play it again" in 4k remasted, early 1942 maps yes i played them but i need to hit youtube to bring memories back lol.

Tbh i not made up my mind on Portal yet, some friends call me crazy but i do come to it with an open mind as its offering a hell of a lot, for next gen remastered 4K is the future and its always got to be moving forward, games can not look back well i mean a series like BF.

Can not wait to boot it up on next gen consoles and may still get it again for my pc rig

while you posted it @Its_Travis_199 i was writing mine lol sorry for same post more or less

Many fantastic maps from previous BF ventures waiting for us there!

Really keeping my fingers crossed for the remastering of these 'all time BF classics' for the BF2042 game, as its not an easy feat for the EA team to remaster a map from aka 32/64 players and then still make it work well in a 128 player game mode.  Map design for FPS gaming is a real science to obtain the perfect level of barriers, horizontal access levels, supply stations, spawn points, etc etc to realize that perfect game flow and immersive gaming experience for the players!

Kudos to the EA Dev team to take on the challenge !

  • @lIAdamantIIAs much as i love the maps, i did just get a minor migraine trying to imagines someone running Ziba tower or scrapmetal with 128 players.

Would love to have them back in portal though.

@FringerunnerYou can still configure servers to host less people, right? Or are they really forcing the 128 player experience?

Now the EA team should (allegedly) have redesigned the old classic maps slightly, in terms of total size of them, buildings, open spaces etc, to accommodate for the bigger player number versus on the original years back.  But that feat is easier said then done.

But yes, we do also on the portal have the option to restrict the total number of players down to just the number we want as the max on them in the gameplay!
