- 4 years ago@ZappBrannigin I see how it would be a problem for people trying to enjoy the AoW experience. I see my self exclusively in Portal so it hasn't been an issue.
- 4 years ago@ReconAvenger I mean I'm happy that you're enjoying it, but why pay full price for a new game only to play the older games that came with it? Seems pretty scummy as a business practice. Then again most video game companies are just focused on squeezing the most money for the least amount of effort and * over the very people who made the franchise popular in the first place.

In fact, I had written off BF2042 after seeing the initial gameplay but that all changed when they revealed Portal.
You do realize BF2042 is still part of Portal, right? It isn't just about playing "the older games". Yes, Portal contains assets, maps and even mechanics from BF2142, BF3 and BFBC2 in a new, updated format but also 2042. You can even choose options that were never available in those original titles. Many like me really enjoyed some of those titles and welcome their return but also are excited to customize our own Experiences.
As for the OPs concerns, I'll wager DICE is already beginning to give some serious thought to some of these as there seems to be a lot of backlash. I wouldn't doubt some of them are reintroduced at some point.
- 4 years ago@ReconAvenger Portal is cool and all, but will they add new maps and content to that mode aswell? That mode will get boring withing a month or two without content, just saying
