Mini Map spotting is overpowered
The current spotting system is one of the biggest funkiller for me. As soon you start shooting you get spotted it is really making a supressor a must have which comes along with a damage reduction. Furthermore the spotting seems to bugged in general because as you hover over somebody no matter the distance he/she gets spotted immedately.
Personally I think the way how Battlefield V handeled the whole spotting mechanic in the end was pretty good, today I found youtube comment on one Battlefield 2042 feedback video that describes it perfectly:
"BFV did suppressors PERFECTLY. They lowered the audio of the gun (duh) but the audio without a suppressor was so meaty and well designed that it made a tangible difference. And then the added utility was that the enemy would no longer get directional damage indicators when you use a suppressed weapon. That was such a great trade-off IMO and it made the suppressors really useful while not making them a necessity"
I really would appreciate it when the minimap spotting when you shoot your gun without a supressor gets removed and silencer therefore get the ability to remove the damage indicator. This would allow for more tactical gameplay and people would actually start using their eyes&ears to spot enemies instead looking on their minimap for the ingame "radar hack" to do it's job.
Thank you for reading.
