Mnk support on console
Hii ea can you tell us if bf 2042 will support m&k ever? And if you can in the launch because i won't play the game with controller i really can't even aim so please give us an answer when you will ...

The answer is: Buy a PC to game on instead if you want M&K for your gaming.
Situation is that Sony for sure has observed the onslaught of cheaters plugging in their crappy modded controllers, their script cheating mouse and keyboards and what have you. So the PS5 has been setup to use encrypted communications between each controller connected and the PS5. Reason why old modded PS4 controllers does not work on PS5 for PS5 games. And reason why immature plug-in cheats like XIM and Cronus for M&K cheats does not work either on PS5.
Personally I applaud that, as dropped the PC gaming years back due to the totally infested and toxic environment there for MP games.
The consoles are to ensure a level playing field and the integrity of the game platform and the games being run.
It should not be a question about who can afford the best and latest cheat that dominates the game.
Yes, I am sure we will hear a lot of complaints about this.
Complain about the cheaters, that drove it this far. Not me.
@CyberDyme I don't see how XIM and adding M&K support are related. If anything the number goes down if the developers add this support. People automatically assume that if M&K support is added to console then people will plug it in and dominate controller games. But that's not what we are asking for were we? Fair thing to do would be to put us in a crossplay lobby (might as well call it a PC lobby at this point) and every problem is solved. We consider controller user's concerns so why don't you guys consider ours? This single minded mentality and not coming up with a compromise from the opposition is what's frustrating about the whole situation.
Potentially facing cheaters or toxic people in a lobby is a valid concern for people who use M&K support (if it's added the way we hope it is) but it's our own choice to make. You think people who are requesting M&K support aren't from PC and used to this already? This is our concern to have and controller users shouldn't be bothered with any of this. They should still have their own 'level playing field' lobbies. You cannot make the choice for all of us. Everyone is different and prefer different things and I really wish people understand and respect that.
Also a GPU costs more than a PS5 so there's that. I can never dream of buying a PC with the money I have. My GTX970 PC cost more than my PS5 and a PS5 is obviously more powerful.
Also COD and halo have this support. I believe COD just dump their playbase into a single lobby but (oddly enough) it has been successful so far with far less complaints. Battlefield can implement this support in a better way and I doubt anyone will have an issue when it finally is added.

I am not pursuing anybody personally here or what your intentions may be or not with the m&k support for consoles. I am just stating matter of fact and why many console players would find it troublesome if m&k got enabled for games like BF2042 on consoles. And yes, I recognize many innocent may go down as collateral damage due to just a few trouble makers.
A fine compromise would be to have all m&k players, no matter their platform, be pooled together into the same lobby for their gameplay. And even there, you could add yet another server filter option, if only wanting to have a specific platform on also in that pool.
Trouble is the EA run servers, because there I do not see them having much incentive to make many specialized servers available to us. As they simply do not want to have too many servers going half empty from human players.
The best bet and option for us all I think, would be the Portal servers and that we there get a truly well functioning server browser, where we can select/deselect exactly the server criteria we want for our gaming experience. Aka play with m&k players, yes/no? Play with PC players, yes/no? Play with Xbox players, yes/no? Play with Playstation players, yes/no?
- @CyberDyme I agree with you but we are not in 2010 when there is much less competitive all gamers now know that the monitor hz or the more comfortable the mnk is or what the Europe servers and asia servers and what each one make alot of difference now we deserve more options all players should be happy and by not supporting mnk you force the group of gamers that can't play a first person shooter on controller not to even buy the game they love and waiting for
@badhunter99 i personally don't really care if i fight people using M&K (but some people do), either if they use it on the same console or if i mess with them form the PC side.
I use a controller as usual and can still beat some of them in a fight. 🙂
Always depends on the players skill and other things that affect the situation of fight on the Battlefield.
But about your main question as i mentioned above already. Probably nobody can tell or confirm you yet, when or if they will support M&K on Consoles. It'll just not be there at launch, that's all what we know so far.
