As before with the pp-29, the MP9 turns out to be a broken weapon, which does a lot of damage, no recoil with automatic fire, no dispersion and hits at 100 meters inflicting maximum damage with the silencer mounted for more. absolutely correct. as well as all the SMGs but for that I made a dedicated post.
It was great before the patch but yeah it seems even better, recoil-wise. I feel the damage is in a bit of a weird spot at close range though, like if you and someone with an M5 shot eachother at the exact same time the assault rifle would probably win. It's like the PKP - an absolutely laser with lower damage to trade-off
SMG's in general are a bit too strong past medium range. I like they shoot straight but combined with the high fire rate the damage drop off at distance should be a bit more aggressive on them to put them back in their niche.
Someone on Reddit posted this chart and you can see even with the damage drop off the MP9 matches or bests all the AR's TTK at max range and is significantly better up close. There needs to be a bit more of a tradeoff.
