NEED 256 PLAYERS ON SOME MAPS...Hi as stated above, in some maps 256 players online would be of great benefit, like the maps Hourglass, Exposure, Breakaway and some other ones, because these maps are big, but they don't offer enough people in them and 256 players would solve the problem and add more action in these maps and maybe same goes for other maps too. I would suggest a name like Conquest XL or XXL for the 256 player server modes and keep the original 128 Conquest modes too. And it would add more to the BF2042 game as one of only few FPS games to support 256 players compared to newly released FPS games that are triple A titles that do not support this.Kind Regardsali1278

@ali1278 absolutely not. 128 is bad enough 256 would be a disaster from a technical and gameplay standpoint. i do not now, nor do i ever want 256

@ali1278 I can't imagine these servers trying to process twice the amount of client data than they do now. That seems like a bridge too far right now with Battlefield.

If the performance can be handled I would be all for it.

@RayD_O1 I get it, but some maps are just huge empty fields, running around, it just takes away from a true bf experience, it would be nice some how in the future this can be implemented for those willing to play 256 modes, for those who dont want, dont have to.

I agree that the maps are lacking in atmosphere and as you say pretty barren but I just don't feel BF2042 is in a good enough state to cope with 256 players.

@mrtwotimes same here i would be all for it and many would, i hope in the future they find a way, and if not 256 maybe 180 to 220 or something like that, doesnt have to be a fixed 256
