BF2042 was really fun with unlocked classes
I could play as an assault with a medic kit and an anti tank rocket - it was fun
these locked classes in my opinion make the game boring and dull and just like every other game for the last 20 years....

I think classes are a good idea, implemented terribly though, they feel so dead and lifeless for some reason.
The point is to stimulate more teamwork
Where is misses is random populating of the queue. Everyone wants to play what they have and doesnt want to switch so you dont get a lot of support or engineers.
Im currently trying to T1 Mackay. I run out of ammo and have to redeploy because ammo is never near a sniper.

but they have implemented it poorly
i mean - the squads are so small - in the old days bf2 had 6 man squads
and i could pick any weapon i wanted - now i cannot play full auto with medic kit =(
i understand why they did it - but to me it just detracts from the game
same as the "aim assisted" feature - that sucks too

Combining Mackay's, Sundance's, Rao's, Falk's, Angel's specials with rocket launchers was broken
ruined game , tank spanw on air no lost time to go comflic no battle other tank camp spanw or or infantery block spanw tanks... now tell yor veicle and full time killing infantery and ingnotre other tank (vehicles) only 3 players have anti tank or AA is a perfect play for vehicles, 80/3 in AA before patch i no up 15 kill all round

Battlefield always had this class system which made teamplay more valuable and the community has been asking for this since day 1
Specialists was mistake. It they won't admit it. This middle ground just doesn't work...
