We will be in Season 14 by the time they release the next Battlefield. Per the EA Earnings Call transcript, they stated that Battlefield was not in their FY2025 outlook. April 2025 would be the earliest, but if BF is not in their 2025 outlook, that means pre-orders would not be in that outlook, meaning pre-order sales would not start until AFTER April 2025. This would be the longest stretch between games since this franchise was created. It almost feels like they are going to kick the can down the road long enough to just kill off the franchise altogether. I could be wrong but with the next GTA coming out in 2025, you are going to lose a ton of console players game time to GTA.

Sounds like a minimum of another two years out until the next Battlefield. Plenty of time to add a server browers and about 20 more maps!

Hopefully this will give them time to make the next game good, with all the legacy options this title lacks. Makes you wonder how long they will support this game.

My whole thought is that this is a whole new team so who knows what we will end up with! This concerns me greatly.

If it doesn't have good Battlefield philosophy behind how it's made, then I will skip it. Thanks for Battle(non)sense clearing up why Battlefield these days is an repetitive egoshooter which gets you bored of it. Hell Let Loose and Insurgency Sandstorm has way better gameloop to grab your attention and passion.
I'm sorry if this sounds provoking but I feel and think Battlefield has gone long transformation route to become living dead...

Yeah, this is not the same core devs who actually played Battlefield. We now have a crew that has just played 2042, maybe some BFV, but that was released 6 years ago and at least 7 before the next game launches (since BFV).
I am sure they will keep Specialists, maybe make them by faction, and then add the ability to customize them with lipstick and nail polish. That is the way this is trending. We have to make sure there is a Specialist from every demographic and every map has to be from a country that has not yet been represented.
