No BattleRoyale announcement will crash presales and hype

I loved the hype of 2042 and what the game will bring. But there were two major factors that communities in Warzone that were Battlefield players are hung up on and wont pre order or arent interested in buying until they have these confirmed. The BattleRoyale mode. You see the thousands and thousands everyday playing Warzone. The hype through Covid.That BR became a godsend. Those of us that came from Battlefield with Firestorm crashing and burning so bad due to not being maintained we wanted craved a BR. The hype here was yeah EA will get on board and do a Battlefield BR bigger and better than Firestorm was and we will have something fresh to enjoy in the Battlefield franchise again and with BR. Yet is met with silence. Then to remove the cross play statement in the tech testing info on the 2042 page yesterday where it is magically gone today. Come on people. You want to hype the presale, draw away the crowd from COD give the people something. ColdWar wasnt great. So yeah multiplayer BF 2042 will be good but to really seal the deal give us something in the BR side. Because I will stay with Warzone and that play because its is BR and I can play with my larger community in COD than I had in Battlefield V because of crossplay.

@K1W1G I actually am quite glad that there isn't a BattleRoyale mode in the game.. (Not gonna lie, it would be fine to have a seperate BR version along side the MP ver) it will tend to distract from the pure BF gameplay most of the longterm fans want and new players deserve.

Honestly not as broken up about this because I am hoping for a triple A version of Tarkov via Hazard Zone. BR is fun but have enough ways to play it and I think BF would be perfect for an escape from tarkov style mode.

@K1W1G id have to disagree there, cod is cod, BF is BF, bf players dont care about BR mode, and the true fans of the series will still flock to it in huge numbers. It will make little to no difference. We might miss out on some cod players, but who cares?
Wait and see what the hazard zone brings, that could be a very interesting element

Personally glad they're focusing all their effort on Battlefield instead of Battle Royale and 5v5 game modes.

OP speaking purely for yourself, any true battlefield player couldnt care less about BR, i honestly couldnt think of anything worse than BF BR, BR is complete clownshoes and done to death already, move on its yawncity.

Definitely a BR would need to be stand alone. But a BR to keep the servers full and go back to competing head to head against COD. Often when BFV started dying out and with all the glitches and issues even in multi towards its heyday end was hard to fill servers and due to no crossplay servers we ran I to the same people over and over again which honestly got boring. For longevity and ensure more Battlefields down the road I want the ' Battlefiled business' to succeed. I already have pre ordered but BR is where the masses are and hopefully whats coming will hold its own but I'm honestly not sure.

Again you couldnt have it more wrong, the BF community WANTS to play with the same people, we want to fill the servers with the same dedicated players and play against established groups, we DO NOT want to have a cluster **** melee of random newbies coming in and out with no gauge of talent or playstyles. and i have news for you, this "battlefield business" is doing fine as it is without the need to clone BR games. bottom line BR is out, we dont want it.

Thank God there is NO Battle Royal. It never had a place in Battlefield in the first place. I'm so pleased with this.

I agree. I just want to make sure the numbers are there to support it. So will have more Battlefields to come. I'm not a sole BR player in fact really love the Multi-player aspect of Battlefield but BR still adds to an element of player diversity that will keep the numbers flocking in so we get more games.I enjoy aspects of COD for what they are just as with BF and don't compare as its apples with oranges. Hazard zone could be that gold nugget we want. I really hope it is.
