We need as minimum like a classic Battlelog system for BF2042!
And so far EA have done nothing to answer the community on this very frequent and valid request...

No need to trash Battlelog totally @CloudMcRip .
Was is perfect? No. But it was there.
And yes, it also worked for the console world, as I have been on since inception of BF4.
Best used through a PC browser, no matter your gaming platform.
So better have that, than absolutely nothing, which is the case so far for BF2042.
Among others, the Battlelog provided:
- Soldier XP progress tracking, ribbons, medals, awards.
- Soldier statistics
- Global, regional, local leadership boards
- Weapon and vehicle unlocks.
- Ability to setup your default soldier/vehicle loadouts before starting the game.
- Assignments and tracking their completions.
- Soldier emblems.
- Clan organization, memberships and related clan community chat forum.
- Battle game reports
- Server browser and select to join.
Think it did a pretty great job at this, despite maybe not perfect.

@CyberDymethat's true, many other things worked great for "PC" but not for console who just wanted to play the game however I think for Battlefield 2042 specially, "Less is sometimes more" .
On my personal opinion stats should be meaningless like they are in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
For me would be an ideal Platoon System:
-Platoon Leader and membership control, with administration tools
-A greeting text and explanation what the goal of the Platoon is
-An option with "ON/OFF" for the platoon Leader to set the option that platoon member can always stack up together and not play against each other
-A collection of DICE made platoon emblems
-Option to join platoon members if not deactivated individual
In other words, DICE should keep the platoon system just simple so it works well. If DICE would be able to create a new "Battlelog" which also works without "error's" then I also have nothing against it. I just don't want the feeling again that "Battlelog" caused more problems as it has benefit.- R1ckyDaMan194 years agoSeasoned Ace
@CloudMcRipThat's because pc used to be the main platform for battlefield, the only thing wrong with battlelog was having to join a game through it (pc problem).
And battlelog had almost all the features you mention.
Not to mention the fantastic social features, battlelog was ahead of its time.
I would argue they need to stop wrecking the ingame UI in order to make it work cool on consoles, keep the UI simple and use an app or something to manage our soldiers and platoons etc, I mean who doesn't have access to a browser or smartphone these days?
Basically I disagree with everything you said.

@CyberDyme Battlelog was very bad implemented specially for the console playerbase. If I recall BF4 it doesn't really work neither. Everytime you hit the wrong button you had to wait 8 seconds (4 seconds to load up the battlelog and arround 1-4 seconds to close it again). So I am glad there is no Battlelog again. In theory battlelog sounds great but it was poor performed specially for the console playerbase.@CloudMcRip Making Battlelog optional like they did for BF4 and MoHW would be optimal to please everyone. Battlelog was an outstanding piece of kit for communities and events.
Regarding Consoles you didn't need to use Battlelog at all, that was completely optional but it was nice to be able to launch your console from Battlelog from a social media server post.
