Non-sniper weapons are way too accurate

So I uninstalled this game about a year ago after experiencing one disappointment after another, the TTK/TTD desync issue and atrocious gun balance being the biggest ones for me, but reinstalled and played it again after a big hardware upgrade.

My main playstyle is aggresive sniping as I despise the campy playstyle, so I went ahead and selected the SWS-10 equipped with some upgrades that I unlocked last time I played a year ago.

Now landing hits feels strange, like I'm missing way more shots than I should even though my aiming seems to be dead on, I don't know what's going on is the hitreg bugged? It can't be my internet connection, I have optic fibre, very low ping and no packet loss.

And my god, why am I constantly getting laserbeamed at long range (50-100) meters by SMG's, AR's and LMG's?

After getting sick of it and out of curiosity I switched to those weapons to check how difficult it is to get kills compared to sniping and was shocked beyond words to see how extremely easy it is. The recoil is so ridiculously easy to manage, it's like the guns just slightly tilt in a very smooth motion, there's no kick or erratic motion to it that should throw your aim off target. I could go full auto and hit all shots up to long range. So I guess that explains why the gun balance is so skewed in favor of full-auto guns. What's the deal with that? Will there be a proper gun balance fix anytime soon?
