One could only Imagine how ecstatic the BF community would have..

One could only Imagine how ecstatic the BF community would have..

been if we could of created/personalized our own characters, picked the specialist gadget of choice, and then purchased cool camos & accessories from the BF store. Instead we are all still forced to play with these cheeseballs in default. They really are terrible.

PS. The time it takes to actually get in a game and out of a game makes watching “paint dry” seem more fun.

However.. I honestly do appreciate the work/effort put in to improving the game originally created (it originally played like a beta “DOS” version from 1986). Keep up the good work

We desperately need maps (lots of em). Thank You Again

@-DFA-Thump Although loosely based on a true story, the exploits in Saving Private Ryan where wholly fictional and therefore inaccurate however, the story was told in an authentic way.

Video games, especially sand box FPS such as Battlefield are just entertainment but at best, they could inspire the user to research actions depicted from more reliable sources.

How accurate is it that all battles depicted only ever had 64 combatants at any one time?

How accurate is it that a side that historically lost a given battle can win.

Let's ignore the fact that a German can use a gold Thompson or a Brit a Gold STG.

Simply put, an authentic thing can be used in an inaccurate way/setting but never the less, remain authentic to the over all experience.
  • @Trokey66 There's a very big difference between mirroring and indisputably rewriting history for the sake of pandering which was exactly what DICE/EA were doing.

As far as accuracy of tracking each 64 people on a battlefield that occurred before the concept of a computer existed as it exactly happened in history is simply impossible. You couldn't ask for that level of accuracy for people walking into the very theater to watch Saving Private Ryan during opening release. It doesn't mean that you can go off the rails and "be just close enough" (i.e. people did a thing somewhere at some point) and sell it the way DICE/EA did. Soderlund literally said his daughter was the reason why that character existed...

The fact that a German can hold a gold Thompson and Brita a Gold STG only serves to prove my point. So what's exactly is yours?

I'll agree that an authentic thing can be used in somewhat inaccurate ways/settings but not to the sheer extent that DICE/EA did and how they sold it.

@-DFA-Thump Dude you have already been told by DICE. They don't want you as a customer. So shove off and take your WW2 era sensibilities with you. DICE don't care there just isn't enough of you to worry about. All most companies want these days as customers are GenZ's because they are the only one's that are going to be around in 50 years. And they certainly don't care about authenticity.
  • I thought BFV was immersive, had absolutely beautiful maps, the gun dynamics were awesome, and the game was really fun (it drip-fed content tho). If I could of customized my own character to look like me it would of been honestly next level. I wish we had a bf4 replica with today’s graphics (the absolute bomb of all Battlefields for me 👍)

Playing as Sundance and Angel just makes me cringe inside. I put mask on them but I can still hear their voices during gameplay. I eventually just cut the game off and played farming simulator 😂

    its really that bad..

Yeah I had some fun with BFV too and especially enjoyed the Pacific DLC maps.

I wasn't a fan of the elites though.

Like you I always use headgear to hide the specialists faces, I just wish we could get back to proper customisation of our characters it would make such a difference imho.
