Hello everyone,Does anyone think that games have become over-tolerant recently? I mean DICE/EA removed 'must-have' features from BF2042 just to not offend anyone. For example, the current Scoreboard is counting squad's kills not the person's just to make everyone feel they are useful. This 'we are a team' trend has to stop. I mean we can't even see now who did the most kills or compete with someone and at the end of the round the game shows such useless * like 'pilot supports'. This is just hilarious when it shows 'pilot supports 2' instead of showing who was 'the killing machine' in this round. They are trying so hard to not offend anyone or make noobs to feel that they are very very important that this trend damages the real BF community. Why can't you make just an option in the setting to turn on Classic Scoreboard to see where I am placed in the team and have kind of a competition feeling... Also, right now I can't close the squad so no one can join it. It is so annoying when you are trying to play with your friend and some random guy joins your squad and deploys in your vehicle instead of your friend. WE ARE A TEAM! EVERYONE IS IMPORTANT! - this is just *. You are in a rush to be liked by everyone, so you forget the BF basics. All BF games had 'lock the squad' option or classic normal scoreboard and now you remove them to satisfy noobs. Another funny thing, you can't even write the word 'stupid' now for some reason, it will be seen like ***** in the chat by everyone else. Are you serious? Stop trying to please everyone. The word 'stupid' is not even that harsh or offensive. I can't even say something like 'it was a stupid round or a map or etc'. Thoughts?

You know, to not give people reasons to shout stuff like: "Your K/D suxx, noob", not make them worry about their kills and deaths too much and rather push them to look for ways how to cooperate. Teamplay always depends on the players. For example, I like to play medic, so Falck is my choice - I revive people, I heal them, I toss smoke grenades where needed, I usually run to get them on their feet even when I have a chance to make some kills instead. My kill number is terrible, my K/D as well, but... it helps the team and I have fun, so who cares.Another option is to take Falck and be completely selfish - you have heal, you have recon (grenade), you have ammo supply (crate), it's quite good for that purpose. Similar it's for many other specialists. Can I do that? Sure. Should I do that? That's a question every player must answer to himself. 🙂

This is a competition game, competition means competing with other players. Especially when you want to go TDM in portal. Imagine having no scoreboard when playing TDM, People go TDM basically to compete with others and see who got more kills etc. I don't care if I lose to someone, the competition is fun itself. And this slogan that 'everyone is equal', 'you are a team' is just nonsense. This is not how competition games work, not everyone is equal, there will always be noobs or better players. I don't care if I am a noob in the game, it gives me the motivation to get better in the game', now I don't have this feeling, I don't see my stats, I don't see my k/d, I don't see anything... I remember the time when we had Battlelog. It was a masterpiece itself, you could spend time there just exploring how many bullets did you shoot, or with what gun you did the most kills, or what is your HS percentage or longest killstreak. It was a great motivation to get better in this game. I didn't care about other players stats, I was competing with myself, for my personal ego, if I can say that... Now I feel like, there is no competition in the game, everyone is equal and everyone is happy, but this is not how it works.

I'm pretty sure I've seen high kills as one of the "outstanding performances" in the end-of-round screen.The scoreboard shows your individual kills in two places - in the top right and as the first column on the left side where it shows relative squad performances.As for tolerance, I don't think the word means what you think it means. You might as well have entitled the thread "tell us you watch Newsmax without telling us you watch Newsmax."It's a team- and squad-based game. It makes sense to highlight team- and squad-centric performances.

@Anaghya I like to compare stats as much as anyone, but I have noticed that I been a lot more team oriented and a lot of times go out my way to help teammates instead of focusing so much on getting a few extra kills.I would still prefer to have both a scoreboard and a way to see my overall stats, but I do get what they were trying to do

Oh, yes, Battlelog was great, I especially miss all the medals, etc. from there. 🙂
But I guess the scoreboard is such a popular demand it may get added to the game at some point (I think that at least K/D was hinted for some kind of personal stats). But I see reasons why DICE thought it may worth a shot in the current form.

@Outkast1877 Exactly. It is the participation trophy idiocy that it ruining gaming. I just find it comical that they took a stand against XP farms on Portal because of people complaining. Go woke, go broke. Businesses will learn this, especially in the entertainment industry.

What I haven't heard on the "Fox News" channel coverage of this game is that your squad is ranked during the round in realtime.
At all times, the player can see whether their squad is #1 on your team or ~#16.
IT's a further emphasis on squad play that they've been pushing the last few BF games.

The only issue I have is that I can't see my player stats at the end of the round.
I can see them while the round is playing but have no way to see them when the round ends.
I seriously doubt anyone else is looking at my end of round position just like I'm not looking at theirs.
And if it was about not offending or discouraging players why would they only show the top 3 players at the end of each round?
Most average players will never make the top 3 so wouldn't that discourage them too?
