I know right? I haven't yet figured out why they already give you XP for everything, kills, assists, caps, healing, ammo, EVERYTHING yet they use some silly system on the scoreboard. I mean 2 points for kills, 1 point for this thing and that thing. Why didn't they just put the scoreboard in with the stats that most ask for and then MAKE YOUR TOTAL SCORE THE SAME AS XP. That way you're not leaving 60% of what you do off the score chart....and On topic...Paik needs a huge nerf...or better yet, the ability removed entirely...
Because, seemingly, that functionality was lost with the engine update and this scoreboard is the best they could cobble together in 5 months.
Which sucks, but this is the DICE Quality(TM) we should expect nowadays. I'm still surprised they launched this and said, "Yep, this is fine. No further work needed."
Like...I know DICE devs play 2042 and all but like...have they played prior BF games? Why is this scoreboard so radically different than previous games? Why is it seemingly designed to incentivize folks juicing their KDA's instead of incentivizing players to engage in activities that contribute towards their overall XP, which both helps them progress through levels faster and is more likely to help the team overall.
It's another in the, "This is a game designed for the solo player and DICE has seemingly forgotten how to promote effective teamplay, even if players rarely engaged with it." problem all over again. I'm not gonna pretend players were all team players in previous BF's, we know they weren't. But the design was at least there to encourage that gameplay and rewards those that participated.
