[PC] Bad performance with Ryzen 5 2600x and RTX2060?

The DDR4 memory is in single channel mode because there's only one memory stick plugged into the motherboard.  If you buy another 16GB stick of memory that's exactly the same as the one you already have, then there will be two identical memory sticks plugged into the motherboard and they will be in dual channel mode.

Which will double the memory bandwidth compared to single channel mode.

Or you can buy 2 new 8GB sticks and have 16GB of dual channel memory.

It's always best to buy memory listed in your motherboard's QVL (Qualified vendors list). You can find the QVL list for your motherboard in the support section on their website.

It's not required to get memory off the QVL list, but said memory will probably have the tightest timings and best performance because motherboard manufacturers test and tune QVL memory.

There have been multiple reports of low FPS even with RTX3080's with Ryzen and Intel CPU's.  I won't worry about it for now  Though adding a 2nd memory stick could help like OskooI_007 suggested.

and its barely playable on low settings.

same problem bro and same Ryzen 5 2600 cpu (and GTX 1070) with one channel 16 Gb memory stick

I have the same specs as you but i have 2x8 gb sticks in slot 2 and 4. im getting around 20 to 30 fps can barely play game. any suggestions??

Thanks so much for you help, I'm now looking to buy more RAM to have 2x16Go. I curently have 1x 16Go DDR4 at 2666 MHz. Should i look for for the same one or buy 2 x16 Go DDR4 with better frequencies like 3200 MHz? Will it improve my performances?

I looked up your motherboard, MSI A320M-A PRO, but it doesn't look like it supports automatic memory overclocking with XMP.

You can try booting into bios and look for anything that say "XMP" or "A-XMP". If you don't see it then your motherboard doesn't support automatic memory overclocking which will make getting your money's worth out of higher speed memory difficult because you'd have to manually overclock it.

While you're in the bios you can also check that your memory is running at 2,666Mhz.

What should I buy then? Anything from this list?

That list you posted isn't the QVL list for your motherboard. You will find it on MSI's website under  "Menu" and then click "compatibility" and then click "Memory by RX-2x00".

I'd buy two 8GB single sided 3,200Mhz memory sticks (16GB total).

Does your motherboard bios have "Memory Try It !" like in the picture above?

If so, you can use that to safely overclock the memory to 3,200Mhz. Or try 2,933Mhz if for some reason 3,200Mhz fails.
