Netcode has always been rough for BF games
In BF1 and BFV the netcode was pretty spot on especially at the end of their lifecycle.
BF2042 netcode is a big downgrade and seems to be even worse than BF3's.
Let's not forget that even the server's tick rate has been downgraded from 60Hz to 45Hz.

Facts. What you just mentioned is probably the biggest "feel" change between BFV and 2042. But, it's definitely a difference that has a serious impact in the overall timing of he playing experience. The server tick rate change is a 100% noticeable difference.

May be interesting, maybe not but, I've started testing the WTFast service (called Elite Gamer Service from my ISP) offered in partnership with my local cable company (Cox). Still too early to tell, but it appears that I am seeing improvements in my hit detection with the service. This, even despite an at times, a WHOPPING 60ms increase in latency. I think sometimes the service routes my traffic incorrectly. If interested, check this thread I've been posting in over on Reddit but, for anyone interested in giving it a try, you can follow my experience here:

Also seems like over the past few weeks that Console hit detection has got even better and PC has got worse , I feel as if I could throw rocks I would have a better chance at getting kills !
